Starting a text conversation with your child is a great way to show them how to be part of a Trusted Team.

It gives you an opportunity to model that it’s easy to ask for clarification when you are confused about tone, context, or intent. You can also set an example by showing your child how to handle sensitive subject matter, emotional content, or anything that feels complex by moving the conversation offline.
