Build Your Trusted Team

Activity: Decide with your tween who to invite to be part of the Trusted Team.  Ask them to participate in a group chat or follow your child on a social media platform. 

Your Trusted Team is made up of people that you and your child can count on to point out what Thumbs Down skills still need work. The focus is on supporting and encouraging skill development. 

The people on your child’s Trusted Team understand that learning is a process during which mistakes happen. Encourage them to reach out if they see that your child has not yet mastered when and how to disengage from social media. This is a great opportunity for you to reinforce the skills that your child is working to learn.
